Advent, it’s the beginning of ADVENTUREure and what an adventure it was and is. Born in the gutter, sought out by wise men and shepherds alike, wanted dead by a cruel King and forced to become a refugee in a foreign land. Jesus didn’t know the comfort of a palace or the privilege of a wealthy upbringing. He could have had all those things and yet chose to give them up for us. He knew what it was like to suffer, face hardships of all natures, be mocked, ridiculed, spat at and taunted. He knows what is like to suffer humiliation, torture, deep sadness, rejection and ultimately the most painful of deaths. He knows what it was like to face the things you are facing now. He offers to walk alongside us on an adventure of life and faith, an adventure that will lead to the ultimate life with Him. Are you willing to join that adventure and see where it leads you?
