Without the resurrection Christianity is no more than people following the teachings of a wise man, with the resurrection Jesus brings us release from sin and the fear of death and a true and certain hope for the future. The resurrection tells us that there is more to life than this, the best is yet to come, there will be a time when all suffering will cease and every tear will be wiped away. The resurrection give us something worth believing in.
