Inspirational Verses Number 3

Hebrews 12: 1-3

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

If I had to take only three verses onto a desert island with me, it would be these three verses. I like to imagine all those who have gone before us in the faith, including Jesus, God the Father and the Holy Spirit looking down cheering us on. Knowing that whatever we’re struggling with is so worth it. Supporting us knowing the end form the beginning, wanting the very best for us. Reminding us that it is all about Jesus and if we remember that we won’t go far wrong. Reminding us that we were the Joy that was set before Jesus that enabled Him to go through all He suffered. When we remember and understand all these things we will never grow weary or lose heart.
