I Gladly Journey On

When evil whispers in my ear may I reply in Jesus’ name be gone

When temptation comes may I stand firm in Christ my Lord and God

When I stray will your hand guide me safely back

When I stumble will you break my fall and pick me up

For it is not a straight path I tread and many dangers lie ahead

But with you my guide, my help, my strength I gladly journey on.
