Secure, Valued, Loved
You can trample on my dreams
And scoff at my ideas and treasured plans
But they are hidden deep
They are secure, buried in a foreign field
You can laugh in my face
And dismiss all my thoughts and precious notions
But they are held in great esteem
They are valued, desired by those who matter
You can drag me down
And crush my spirit and even my bones
But I am safe and totally secure
I am whole, loved and treasured by God himself
You can write me off
And do your worst and more besides
But that matters not to me
For with God I need not and want no more.
