The Lord is near
He stays close
Turn and He is there
Seek and you will find Him
He never moves away
Where we are heading
He is there already
He has given us His promise
He will never abandon us
Closer than a brother
Like a never fading shadow
He remains by our side
He is not distracted
He never lags behind
Or runs on ahead of us
He hems us in on every side
He surrounds us with His presence
He watches over us as we rest
He picks us up when we stumble
He is an every present help
The Lord is near.
