As churches we put on masks. We look happy, content, worry free. However, inside we’re hurting, lonely, fearful, worried and confused, even desperate. Everyone else looks so great we don’t want to appear to be the only one struggling. We put up a front because we don’t want to reveal the real me in case people don’t like that and that is, at the end of the day, all I’ve got. We must break down these barriers if we are to become an authentic Christian fellowship/community and not just a group of strangers meeting together.
