The angels and hundreds of years of prophesy heralded the coming of Jesus into this world. However, it was always going to happen. Jesus was not God’s plan B. He wasn’t a rescue package put into place after humankind surprised God by turning against Him. Jesus was always part of the deal, right from before the world was created. God always intended to create the world through Jesus and redeem the world through him as well. God loves us so much that He created the world knowing that we would go our own selfish ways. God created us knowing full well that He would have to sacrifice His own son to bring us back to Him. Love doesn’t get any better than that!
