We cannot earn God’s favour or His blessing – it is given freely because of His goodness, grace and unconditional love.

Works

Our works cannot earn us salvation or even favour in the eyes of God. All our works should be done in a response to the thankfulness we feel because of what God has done for us.

Life Isn’t Fair!

Life isn’t fair! However… isn’t that a positive thing? God isn’t fair, He doesn’t give us what we deserve. He doesn’t give us the punishment that our wrongdoings deserve. Lord, in our walk with you help us to find favour in your eyes as Mary did. Help us have faith like Elizabeth and righteousness like her and Zechariah. Let us be honourable like Joseph and have wisdom and perseverance like the wise men. Lord, give us a childlike faith like the shepherds and patience
