You wouldn’t judge a football team by the behaviour of their supporters or an opera singer by the quality of the audience, so please don’t judge Jesus by me or the rest of the church. If you do you will only get to see the gnarled oyster shell and miss the pearl inside.

Judging
We are called to refrain from being judgemental but we are called to make wise judgements. The difference is this… being judgemental puts ourselves above the person we are judging, making wise judgements recognises that we are all in the same boat but that we can help one another.
Amazing Love
God’s perfect judgement and His wrath are held back by His extravagant mercy, but nothing can hold back God’s amazing love.
Grace not Judgement
Our churches need to be a lots less full of judgement and moral superiority and a lot more full of grace, mercy and love. Let us not denounce and judge people but honour them, exalt them, comfort them, encourage them, care for them, equip them and pour out God’s grace upon them.
